2nd last day at phuke

Has to go to 'the' Wat Chalong. Biggest temple in town. Interesting to note people praying to statues of monks who made the temple famous in the 1860's with healing power and later with lotery winning power.


After a little rain, we went to the 45m budha sitting on the top of a hill over0-looking the entire southern half of Phuket island..


we then went to the patong beach for a little fun. The kids really enjoy jet skying...

Trip to Phi Phi island

The scenery was absolutely beutiful. Thank goodness for ondasetron we all survive the boat trip without getting sick. Run out of tablet so this is going to be the last and only boat trip..

Started with swiming in a pressurised moon-pool made-into-aquarium on the boat, afterwhich the kids could not wait to jump into the sea snorkeling, could not get enough of it.

stopping by Phi Phi lsland to have lunch and do some shopping. Enjoying complimentory coconut on the way back.

elephant, waterfall, jungle trekking and sun-set at the beach all in one day at phuket

Cannot be at Thailand without having had an elephant ride, with 'value added' fun with the local friendly python.

After lunch, we stop by a waterfall on the way to Khao Lak. Got to the waterfall after a tough 0.5km walk along the small stream through tropical rainforest.
